Kapil Sharma Depression: Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma is busy promoting his next film ‘Jwigato’. His last film on the big screen was ‘Firangi’, which released in 2017, which was a flop at the box office. After the failure of the film, the comedian had to go through a difficult phase in life. He told that during this time he had gone into depression. Recently, Kapil recalled that phase and told how he came out of it.

Talking to Aaj Tak, Kapil shared how lonely one can be despite being loved by so many people. He said, “As a public figure, crores of people know you, you entertain them, but when you come home you are alone. You are also not in a position to live a normal life where you can go out, sit on the beach and watch the sea. You live in a two-room flat, and when it gets dark outside in the evening, I can’t describe how bad it feels.”

Thoughts of suicide started coming

During this, Kapil said that he believes that “nothing is permanent, neither happiness nor sorrow.” But he remembers that he thought of ending his life after his film failed and created a controversy with Sunil Grover. He said, “At that stage, I thought of committing suicide. I thought that there is no one with whom I can share my feelings. Where I come from, mental health is not something that is discussed. I don’t think this was the first time I went through this phase. May be, I felt low in childhood, but no one would have noticed.

I’m stronger than ever

Kapil said, “Once you go out to earn money, and you are alone, there is no one to look after you, to explain things to you, you do not realize that people around you What are the hidden intentions behind people, especially if you are an artist. But when you go through such a phase, you start paying attention to things going on around you. Your eyes open up. If an artist is sensitive doesn’t mean he’s stupid.” He added, “Now when I think about it, I think it was a good period, just because life filtered through after that. If that time had not come, I would not have learned to enjoy the little things in life.
